For age five through adult
Expert instruction in the instrument of your choice
The Philomusica School of Music provides quality instruction by professional teachers and highly qualified concertizing musicians. It offers complete programs for students planning professional careers as college students, teachers, performers or composers or for those students pursuing music merely for their own personal enjoyment. Regular weekly private lessons are available for most instruments including:
Piano • Guitar • Violin • Cello • Clarinet • Saxophone • Flute • Recorder • Trumpet • Accordion • Voice
Students may, at the instructor’s discretion, take exams offered by the Royal Academy of Music. Exams are held once a year; and, if a student wishes to take an exam, our School can fully prepare him/her for any level of testing. We have helped many students complete exams successfully. For those seeking to achieve a higher level of musicianship we encourage them to take part in these preparations.
Students will become gifted with skills like Aural Training, Scales & Arpeggios, Performance & Musicianship Training, Sight Reading and much more.
Recitals & Festivals
Students are given an opportunity to perform in at least two recitals over the year. All of our recitals have free admission, so the whole family and friends can attend and enjoy the performances.
We would like to make it a tradition that the students bring food bank donations to recitals, thereby making the events both enjoyable and meaningful.
The “Colorado Association of Music Proficiency” C.A.M.P. is another organization which many of our students like to enter. The Regional Festival takes place in April and the State Festival in May.
