Dear Philomusica parents and students
Welcome to the Fall 2009 newsletter from Philomusica. 
Gunter & Nicolette Bischof are back from their vacation to Germany and Greece. We are now ready to prepare for upcoming events and recitals. Thanks to Nicholas and Sharon for holding down the fort during those few weeks, and not forgetting our teachers including Branden, Elvin, Carley, Kimberly, Liz, Missy, Sara and Sarah who were contiuing with lessons during the summer weeks.
Now that fall is here, we have a list of activities to update
you, so get your calendars ready.

Fort Collins and Loveland Music Teachers Associations Piano Festival
Saturday, November 7, 2009
The Fort Collins and Loveland Music Teachers Associations Piano Festival will be held at the University Center of the Arts, Colorado State University. Application forms will be available at the Philomusica office for students who are eligible to participate. Deadline for applications is Wednesday, October 7, 2009. Fees for the event are at $15 for elementary non-competitive, $18 for intermediate and advanced non-competitive, and $20 for intermediate and advanced competitive levels.
Gunter plays at the Health & Wellness Orchestra
Sunday, November 8, 2009
Gunter Bischof is playing the clarinet with the Health & Wellness Orchestra
event hosted by the Poudre Valley Hospital. The orchestra will be performing
on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at 4pm, in the Medical Center of the Rockies,
Longs Peak Room. The event is fee and open to the public, so mark your calendars
now.
Philomusica Annual Holiday Concert
Sunday, December 6, 2009
In line with the year-end celebrations, the Philomusica Annual Holiday Concert
is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, December 6, 2009, starting at 2pm. Watch
for more news on this event coming your way.
Dates to remember
No classes during holidays
Philomusica will be closed during the year-end holidays on these following
dates:
* November 26 -28, 2009 - Thanksgiving Break
* December 21, 2009 to January 3, 2010 - Holiday Break
New music bags at Philomusica
To avoid misplacement of music books, all group piano students must use the
space dedicated for their music bags.
Have you seen the new bags in the waiting area recently? We have music bags
featuring the portraits of Bach, Beethoven and Mozart available at $7 including
sales tax.
